Battle at Congaree Creek: Civil War Reenactment May 5-7, 2017

April 14, 2017

History comes alive in Sandy Run this May 5th, 6th, and 7th.  The Battle at Congaree Creek is  a 3 day educational event that will take you back to 1865.

Get a glimpse of what a soldier's life was like in the Civil War.  Re-enactors, dressed in period attire, will conduct educational stations to demonstrate activities such as military life, civilian life, blacksmithing, camp life, period music, and more. There will even be a period church service conducted Sunday morning at 10:30.

Of course, the culmination of the event is the re-creation of the Battle of Congaree Creek and the Calhoun Ledger will be there to bring you a full report of all the exciting happenings.

Get in on the fun and join us at 1215 Valley Ridge Road in Gaston.  Go to www.battleatcongareecreek.com or visit their Facebook page for more information. See you there!
