Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) Law enforcement officers want to question a man who took a car on a test drive from a Gaston used car lot yesterday morning and never
returned it. The man, and the car that dropped him off, were both caught on the business' surveillance cameras.
At about 10:45 a.m. Thursday, the man was dropped off at Hobby Auto Sales on Carlisle Street in Gaston by someone else driving a charcoal gray car. That car appears to be a 2013/2014 Ford Escape. The man then looked at and requested a test drive of a red, 2001 Ford Mustang. He did not return to the lot with the car after the test drive.
The man is described as a white male with a goatee. His head is shaved bald and he had sunglasses perched on top of his head. He was wearing a bright red polo shirt with white t-shirt underneath.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of this man, please call (803) 785-2521 and ask to have a Gaston Police officer call you. You can also notify the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230.
