The 18th Annual Cameron Community Christmas Cantata "Nativity Suites"

The eighteenth annual Cameron Community Christmas Cantata will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 8160 Old State Road, in Cameron. The performances will be at 5:00 and 7:30pm. A reception will be held between the two performances in the fellowship hall at the church.

This year’s production is entitled “Nativity Suites” by Benjamin Harlan. The performance will bring favorite carols and beautiful new songs together in a complete worship service for the Christmas season. It also includes thoughtful new readings based on traditional scripture with parts for the congregation to sing with the choir.

The selections include: It Came Upon the Midnight Clear; O Come, All Ye Faithful; Come Thou Long-Expected Jesus; Lo! How a Rose E’er Blooming; Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!; Joy to the World!; What Child Is This?; The First Noel; Angels We Have Heard On High and many more. The performance concludes with Handel’s ever-popular Hallelujah Chorus.

There will be prelude of Christmas music prior to each performance. Please make this year’s performance a part of your holiday activities.

The cantata is sponsored in part by the Calhoun County Museum and Cultural Center and the C. Frederic Ulmer Memorial Fund. It is being presented in memory of a very gifted musician from Cameron, Mr. C. Frederic Ulmer.

Any questions may be directed to Resurrection Lutheran Church at 823-2915.
