The Sandy Run Ruritan Club makes 30 bags containing canned goods, fresh produce from the South Carolina Farmers’ Market, and bags of candy for ill and older citizens in the Sandy Run community each July. The receivers of the bags really appreciate the visits when we deliver the bags to them. This is a wonderful way to meet older members of the community and help them out. This is a Ruritan National Program called "Project 52" where members donate canned goods for each week of the year to help others. Members participating in the Christmas in July program at Beulah United Methodist Church to organize the bags are left to right: Glenn James, Kay James, Vivian Robinson, Lena Stabler, Howard Pees, Sandra Pees, Becky Starnes, Sheila Shanklin, and Jill Crim.
